Brisant Secure, the company behind wildly popular brands such as Ultion and Sweet, have landed a very good spot in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100. The publication runs a series of influential lists, this being one of them, which highlights businesses up and down the UK making an impact.

The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years. It is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each December, with an awards event the following September, and alumni dinners during the year.
These lists from The Sunday Times carry weight. Each year companies hope to make them. Its a symbol of their growth, the impact they’re having within their own respective sectors and in the wider economy. More than that, there is a sense of achievement and recognition if you see your company name appear in these lists.
The Fast Track 100 is perhaps one of the most important ones to watch as you can see the companies to watch in the coming years. The list included startups and companies that may only be a few years old but that may be about to explode on the main stage.
Our industry doesn’t always have much recognition in lists like these. At less than £5bn per year, we’re not the largest sector in the UK economy, so whenever our industry is represented in lists like these its a big deal. However, Brisant Secure find themselves on this list for the second year running. A testament to the hard work being done by the company and flying the flag for hardware and fenestration in the business world.

One of the elements of the success of the business can be put down to their marketing and branding. At the head of the business, they have perhaps some of the best marketeers the sector has ever had.
With previous success at the original Synseal and Door-Stop, Brisant Secure was always going to be another winner. Of course it helps to have products that customers love to buy, and in the case of Ultion, Sweet and LockLock that is the case.
But to achieve the complete package you need branding and marketing that hammers home the message and builds up customer and brand loyalty which drives major revenues. Just like Apple. Their marketing and branding has been a world leader for a very long time, and you can see where others have tried to copy their approach.
Apple is now one of the most valuable companies in the world, in part thanks to their marketing efforts to back up what is a good product. You can see Brisant have taken the same approach and its working.
Its not just Brisant Secure that have been making influential lists. Conservatory Outlet have found themselves in the 1000 Companies To Inspire Britain announced by the London Stock Exchange. Another compilation list that carries weight and significance.

The annual reports also examine in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looks at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the British and European economies.
The reports form part of broader LSEG support for high growth companies including business support programme, ELITE.
Conservatory Outlet found themselves in this list after reporting £44m in sales in the last 12 months and the company employs over 250 people. Revenues in 2020 are also up despite the pandemic. A result of the extremely high demand the entire industry has seen since the reopning from the first lockdown in May this year.
There haven’t been too many bright spots for any of us this year, so its great to be seeing the year out with some positive representation in the business world. Well done to both companies!
